Em maio de 2011 começaram a pipocar rumores na internet sobre uma possível parceria entre Adam Levine e Christina Aguilera, jurados do talent show The Voice. Algum tempo depois a própria Christina Aguilera confirmou a parceria em entrevista para a Us Weekly. A faixa, batizada “Moves Like Jagger” foi lançada no dia 21 de Junho de 2011, e descrita como “um pop poderoso e perfeito do Maroon 5?. Adam comentou que foi ótimo trabalhar com Aguilera. Já Christina disse que a parceria foi uma ótima oportunidade. O single fará parte do relançamento do Hands All Over.

Para marcar o lançamento de Moves Like Jagger, o Maroon 5 e Christina Aguilera se apresentaram na abertura do episódio das Semifinais do The Voice, em uma performance de tirar o fôlego, que foi ao ar na noite do dia 21 de Junho.

Gravado em 8 de Julho de 2011 no Palace Theater, em Los Angeles, o vídeo de Moves Like Jagger é um tributo ao vocalista dos Rolling Stones e traz vários sósias e modelos imitando seus passos. O vídeo foi assinado por Jonas Akerlund e traz também a participação de Christina Aguilera.

1. A música foi a primeira parceria de sucesso entre dois vencedores do prêmio Grammy Revelação (Christina Aguilera em 1999 e Maroon 5 em 2004).
2. No video clipe, Adam Levine usa uma réplica de uma camiseta usada em 1975 por Keith Richards, com os dizeres “Who the F*** is Mick Jagger”.
