Adam e James recebem Decade Award e anunciam álbum para Novembro
Neste domingo, 13, o Maroon 5 foi um dos homenageados durante o Teen Choice Awards, premiação produzida pelo canal FOX que celebra os destaques do cinema, televisão e música seguindo o voto popular dos adolescentes. Durante o evento, Judd Apatow (o produtor de Begin Again) entregou o prêmio especial #DecadeAward para o Maroon 5, que celebra a evolução musical da banda nos últimos 10 anos.
Adam Levine e James Valentine, que não passaram pelo tapete vermelho da premiação, agradeceram ao carinho dos fãs e também anunciaram o lançamento do 6º álbum de estúdio do Maroon 5.
“É um prêmio de década, o que pode significar apenas uma coisa: Que nós estamos por aí há muito tempo, o que é incrível,” agradeceu Adam. “Obrigado. Nosso sexto e último álbum vai se lançado em Novembro,” brincou, finalizando que era uma piada e que eles nunca iriam embora.
Em compensação, a banda perdeu os dois prêmios aos quais estavam indicados. Na Categoria de #ChoiceMusicGroup, a banda perdeu para Fifth Harmony, e Ed Sheeran levou o prêmio de #ChoicePopSong.
